Bring out your dead

Last night was awesome. After work I rushed to the train station and met up with Step so we could go to Amsterdam for the second time in 2 days. I thought the venue would be pretty packed when we arrived, but there was hardly anyone there. First to play: The Ghost Of A Thousand. They were... alright? I thought the singer had an awesome voice. Couldn't really tell what he was screaming/singing, though.
After playing for about half an hour Four Year Strong came up. It was awesome. They didn't perform any of their 90's cover, which I thought was a shame. Cause that would have been great! However, they did performed The Takeover, Bada Bing!, Catastrophe, Abandon Ship, Men Are From Mars, Semi-Charmed Life, Prepare To Be Digitally Manipulated, Beatdown, She Really Loved You, Maniac, Heroes Get Remembered (which is my favourite :)). #2 from Anti-Flag was watching as you can (or can not) see on the first picture. I was kind of distracted and didn't really listened to the rest of FYS when he came up ;)

After FYS Anti-Flag played. All I could think of was: "Alexisonfire headlines the UK dates, Anti-Flag headlines the mainland Euro dates." Last time I checked, Amsterdam is a city in mainland Euro. So why the hell was Alexisonfire headlining? I was and still am kind of pissed about it.
Anyways Anti-Flag performed The Press Corpse, Sodom Gomorrah Washington D.C., Turncoat, I'd Tell You But..., War Sucks Let's Party!, The Economy Is Suffering, The Smartest Bomb, 1 Trillion Dollars, Fuck Police Brutality, This Is The End, Should I Stay Or Should I Go, Die For The Government, Cities Burn and Power To The Peaceful. During one song #2 told a guy to crowdsurf from front to back, and he made it! That was funny. Also, Pat was drumming in the crowd during one of their songs, I just can't remember which song it was. Kids were trying to steal picks from #2 and Justin (which is a typical Amsterdam thing, I think.) Even though they weren't headlining they were really awesome and got the crowd going unlike Alexisonfire. Alexisonfire was good, but not as great as Anti-Flag. But I am prejudiced, Anti-Flag can't go wrong with me. There was some crowdsurfing and stagediving going on during the Alexisonfire set. George threw some kids of the stage, Dallas was amazing and Chris... Chris was awesome. He was going crazy on stage. The combination Chris + bass = always brilliant. #2 came on stage during This Could Be Anywhere In The World :)
To end this blog, the entire Alexisonfire set list: Drunks Lovers Sinners And Saints, No Transitory, Boiled Frogs, Born And Raised, We Are The Sound, Old Crows, Waterwings, Rough Hands, Young Cardinals, This Could Be Anywhere In The World, Accept Crime, Accidents and Happiness By The Kilowatt.
I'll do another post with pictures of Anti-Flag... and ok Alexisonfire too. More than 90% of the pictures were blurry, due to bad photographer (me) and the amount of smoke in the room. Someone was a bit enthousiastic about the fogmachine, me thinks.
