Still I keep searching for something to put my faith in, to find my place

My birthday is coming up in two weeks and I'm (still) deciding what to ask the parents. I'm thinking about a Canon EOS 450D or a laptop. I know, I already own a laptop, but it's really slow and crap. I´m still searching for my perfect match and I´m deciding whether I should buy a MacBook or a good old HP. A MacBook might be a better investment, considering school work and stuff, but I'm more familiar with HP.
Decisions, decisions...

We watched this city burn

(The only decent picture of Dallas)

(...and the only decent picture of Chris. Dude was moving too fast)

Bring out your dead

Last night was awesome. After work I rushed to the train station and met up with Step so we could go to Amsterdam for the second time in 2 days. I thought the venue would be pretty packed when we arrived, but there was hardly anyone there. First to play: The Ghost Of A Thousand. They were... alright? I thought the singer had an awesome voice. Couldn't really tell what he was screaming/singing, though.
After playing for about half an hour Four Year Strong came up. It was awesome. They didn't perform any of their 90's cover, which I thought was a shame. Cause that would have been great! However, they did performed The Takeover, Bada Bing!, Catastrophe, Abandon Ship, Men Are From Mars, Semi-Charmed Life, Prepare To Be Digitally Manipulated, Beatdown, She Really Loved You, Maniac, Heroes Get Remembered (which is my favourite :)). #2 from Anti-Flag was watching as you can (or can not) see on the first picture. I was kind of distracted and didn't really listened to the rest of FYS when he came up ;)

After FYS Anti-Flag played. All I could think of was: "Alexisonfire headlines the UK dates, Anti-Flag headlines the mainland Euro dates." Last time I checked, Amsterdam is a city in mainland Euro. So why the hell was Alexisonfire headlining? I was and still am kind of pissed about it.
Anyways Anti-Flag performed The Press Corpse, Sodom Gomorrah Washington D.C., Turncoat, I'd Tell You But..., War Sucks Let's Party!, The Economy Is Suffering, The Smartest Bomb, 1 Trillion Dollars, Fuck Police Brutality, This Is The End, Should I Stay Or Should I Go, Die For The Government, Cities Burn and Power To The Peaceful. During one song #2 told a guy to crowdsurf from front to back, and he made it! That was funny. Also, Pat was drumming in the crowd during one of their songs, I just can't remember which song it was. Kids were trying to steal picks from #2 and Justin (which is a typical Amsterdam thing, I think.) Even though they weren't headlining they were really awesome and got the crowd going unlike Alexisonfire. Alexisonfire was good, but not as great as Anti-Flag. But I am prejudiced, Anti-Flag can't go wrong with me. There was some crowdsurfing and stagediving going on during the Alexisonfire set. George threw some kids of the stage, Dallas was amazing and Chris... Chris was awesome. He was going crazy on stage. The combination Chris + bass = always brilliant. #2 came on stage during This Could Be Anywhere In The World :)
To end this blog, the entire Alexisonfire set list: Drunks Lovers Sinners And Saints, No Transitory, Boiled Frogs, Born And Raised, We Are The Sound, Old Crows, Waterwings, Rough Hands, Young Cardinals, This Could Be Anywhere In The World, Accept Crime, Accidents and Happiness By The Kilowatt.
I'll do another post with pictures of Anti-Flag... and ok Alexisonfire too. More than 90% of the pictures were blurry, due to bad photographer (me) and the amount of smoke in the room. Someone was a bit enthousiastic about the fogmachine, me thinks.

This is The Blackout coming to your town

Friday the 13th: The Blackout + Young Guns in Amsterdam. We managed to stand near the stage, but after some moshing we ended up somewhere in the middle of the crowd :S
Young Guns tried to get some movement in the crowd, but they failed. The Blackout was good.
The Blackout performed Save Our Selves (The Warning), Top Of The World, The Fire, Children Of The Night, Said & Done, I Love Myself And I Wanna Live, This Is Why We Can't Have Nice Things, We're Going To Hell... So Bring The Sunblock, I'm A Riot, Your A Fucking Riot, Fashion Concious Suicide, Spread Legs Not Lies, The Beijing Cocktail, It's High Tide Baby ♥, She Is Macho. Not quite sure if there were more songs, but they practically performed their entire album "The Best In Town".
Afterwards Young Guns were at their merch table. Step and I took a picture with them, even though they weren't any good. I look like I'm about to kill someone so I won't post them ;) Btw. the drummer looks like Caleb (Kings Of Leon) but shorter.

She lives in a fairy tale somewhere too far for us to find

(Summer '09)

Woke up early. Was on time (for once). Decided to take the same bus as Step. Ended up too late. Decided to come back home.
So, here I am again. I have some work to do for school. Actually, it's a lot, or not. I don't really get the assignment? I have to work tomorrow from 9 to 6 and afterwards I have to go back to school to finish and discuss some stuff with my group. Srsly? It's gonna be a busy end of the week with work, school and 2 concerts (which I'm very excited about) I might survive, I might not. If I do survive, I will post some pictures from both the shows.

Anyways, during one of our many cruises in the United States and Canada last summer, the guide mentioned something about a Frank Gehry building. Luckily Step was quick enough to snap a picture, while I was trying to figure out which building he designed. I, personally would never design a building like this, but on the other hand, it's fascinating. Especially the Guggenheim museum he designed in Bilbao, Spain. It's amaaaaaaaaaaazing. Just like the other Guggenheim musem by Frank Lloyd Wright in New York, which we visited. (I was superexcited, but my mom and Step were bored as hell -.-) I even purchased a book, postcards and a poster, which is hanging on my bedroom wall as we speak. Then again for every pro there is a con, the other 2 Guggenheim museums in Berlin and Venice are, in my opinion, not that amazing. Ugly is the right word, I guess.

Here are some amazing Frank Gehry buildings:

Come on baby, we ain't gonna live forever

Rise Against + AFI and more in San Diego on December 13th, one day before my birthday? Sure. The Blackout signing sessions in the UK? Sure. Anyways.... me and Step (+ vielleicht older sister) are going to London again. Probably. Still deciding which date we should leave and such...
Also... I'm trying to figure out what to do for my next birthday. God, I'm getting old. Anyways, I'm going to stop my (usual) word vommit and enjoy my week off. Sort off. I have to work -.-"

Peace.
